Hitsugaya and Hinamori

Hitsugaya and Hinamori are two supporting characters from Tite Kubo's infamous Bleach. They have known each other since childhood, and while there's no official support for whether the feeling between them is platonic or otherwise, it's obvious that both of them care for each other like real family and share a bond that nobody else in Gotei 13 can ever compare. Hitsugaya especially had devoted much of his effort to protecting Hinamori from unnecessary harm throughout the series, which in turn contributed a great deal to his phenomenal popularity in Bleach fandom today.

Owning this fanlisting means the world to me. If there's a pairing in anime/manga or any form of fictional work that I'd name as the OTP (in fandom terms: one true pair), it would be Hitsugaya and Hinamori. Their story is what triggered my obsession for doujinshi, not to mention my later fixation on making relationship shrines. Hitsugaya and Hinamori are unlike any pairing I've liked until now, being extremely one-sided/unrequited, which I normally try to avoid in ships. I just love every moment they share in the series no matter how brief: every look and word they exchange can tell of the heartful history between them, even when they're playing goofy jokes on one another.
